5 Things that Will Matter to Brands in 2014

MarketingMag recently covered ‘5 Things that Will Matter to Brands in 2014’ on their website. It turns out that many of the topics we covered this year  are predicted to continue to be even more important in the New Year. Here are the 5 things that brands should concentrate on in 2014:

  1. Relevant Retail: What does this mean? Not just having relevant products or services that your customers want, but also offering fringe services such as mobile apps, and other things that make shopping decisions easier  for your customers.
  2. Branded Customer Experience: Customer service is more important than ever. However, branding a unique customer experience  for your customers will make your company memorable and make customers want to return to your business and garner repeat business.
  3. User Experience: This is kind of a blending of the relevant retail highlighted above, as with offering mobile apps and making shopping easier for customers, but also branding the experience and offering excellent customer service across all departments.
  4. Content Marketing Strategy: Information will never get old. It is one of the most important things for businesses old and new. Content is growing in importance for businesses that are offline, but especially for offline businesses. Content is what the search engines want  and they will rank you according to your content. In 2013, we saw Google make some very big changes  devaluing links and visitors in favour of content.
  5. Big Data Does not Have to be so “Big”: Big data was one of the biggest trends for 2013. In 2014, get ready to better understand what big data means, and how you can collect information  to better your company. Big data is not just for big businesses, small businesses can utilize big data too.
